Tuning appointments include light cleaning, pedal regulation, and recommendations for the overall care of your instrument. GNP always recommends pianos be tuned every 6 months. Occasionally, if your piano is significantly out of tune, it may require two tunings (a pitch adjustment tuning and a follow-up 4 weeks later) in order for the piano to stabilize back at A440. This may be because the piano hasn’t been tuned for many years or has been moved since the last tuning. Follow-up tunings are offered with an additional discount. Repairs

Simple repairs (i.e. sticky keys, unwanted noises or vibrations, etc.) are often resolved during your tuning appointment at no extra charge. For those repairs requiring extra time and/or parts, estimates will be discussed before any work is completed so there are no surprise charges on your bill. Please make sure to make detailed notes of all problem keys before your appointment. Certain symptoms may be weather-related and come and go as the humidity changes.

Regulation

Regulation ensures that your instrument is mechanically operating at the highest level. Before regulation, we will need to discuss the current condition of your piano, as well as what is possible. This work will address the specific needs of your instrument as well as your working budget. Voicing
Free estimate

While regulation is the mechanical optimization of your piano, voicing focuses solely on the sound of the instrument. Each piano has a unique tonal palette and individual characteristics that must be maintained and enhanced in order for the instrument to truly sing. Deep Cleaning
Uprights - $300/Grands - $400

Full cleaning inside and out. Dust and debris are not only unsightly but can be harmful to your instrument, leading to more expensive repairs down the road. Piano actions are precision machines with many hard-to-reach places. As such, these instruments should only be cleaned by a knowledgeable professional. This appointment will usually last 3-4 hours and includes a tuning.

Evaluations

A detailed checklist of the condition of your piano from top to bottom will be discussed. If you are buying or selling a piano this is an excellent way to make an informed purchase.
