What a fantastic business! Tom came over and did a pitch raise and tuning on my upright Yamaha. Very detailed and professional, great w/ dogs ;) and can’t beat the price! My piano sounded so great afterward I literally could not stop playing it all night and the next morning. Will definitely recommend my favorite piano tuner Tom to every piano owner I know.

Tom has tuned and fixed my piano on three occasions: I have an old spinet that was clicking and sticking and was out of use for nearly 10 years. He meticulously brought it back to life and we hosted a concert to celebrate! I didn’t anticipate being able to fix all of my piano’s problems, but Tom made it happen at a price I could afford. The sound quality after he dissembled my piano was incredible.

I was so pleased with Tom’s work. He arrived right on time and spent a good three hours working on my piano. It was so out of tune that we couldn’t use it before his visit. So happy with the result—beautiful music! I told him about a couple of issues I was having with my piano, and he investigated them fully. I’m very happy to have found Tom as my piano tuner.

About Tom

Tom Headshot landscape resize.jpg

I began my musical journey as a professional saxophonist and composer in Denver, CO. Years later, grad school took me to New York City where I continued to pursue my musical endeavors, most notably with my 17 piece jazz orchestra, Flying Dragon. It was in NYC that I began working as a piano tuner and discovered the ideal way to combine my two favorite pastimes; making music and working with my hands. I apprenticed for 3 years with Floating Piano Factory serving as the official piano tuners for the American Museum of Natural History, BRICK Jazz Festival, Virtue & Vice Recording Studios and Green Room 42. In 2018, I relocated to the Seattle/Bellevue area and fell in love with the PNW.

MY mission

As a musician myself, I truly understand the personal connection between a performer and his/her instrument. My work is always tailored specifically to your unique musical preferences and personality. During your appointment, we will begin by discussing the current condition of your piano, as well as what exactly you wish to accomplish during my visit. I don't begin any work without first providing you with time and cost estimates. I combine modern electronic tuning software with traditional aural tuning techniques for the highest quality piano tuning possible. Any and all questions about your instrument are always welcome and encouraged!
